I've wanted to make a blue and yellow quilt for sometime now. I almost have it completed. I have the binding yet to finish. It's made with 2 1/2 inch strips (aka jelly rolls) This one measures 46 x 61 and calls for 39 strips.
I purchase 1/2 yards of fabric from my Local Quilt Shop (LQS) as I find must have's in the sale's bin. I mixed a blue jelly roll with a few different fabrics and came up with the blue and yellow combo. I'm going a little overboard on my stash, though. My husband commented while he was paying the bills that he feels like he's living with a crack addict. My fabric addiction is not nearly as bad as all that. . . I can't pass up a sale.
I was glad that I had the yellow fabrics in my stash and they were 1/2 yards instead of quarters. It an easy quilt to make using all 2 1/2 WOF strips. The name of the quilt is called Strip Search. Here is the link: www.gequiltdesigns.com I made a Strip Search quilt using all bright floral fabrics and it turned out nice. Take a look!
Well gardening is calling me and I have to clean up my act and try to control this addiction. I hope you are enjoying warm temperatures. Best, Mary
